JAVA APPLET PROBLEM
First do not fear, Microsoft and many computer companies try to protect you from applets as some unknown ones can harm your computer. Know that the applet we use is safe and comes from a very trusted source!
By following these simple instructions, we can eliminate the problem you are experiencing. This should take you one minute and you only have to do it once.
First you will need to open your Java Control Panel. If it is NOT as an icon in your tray next to the your clock at bottom, if you are using Windows 8: Slide your mouse to the left hand side of the screen so the sidebar pops out. In the Search box, type in JAVA. Choose the CONFIGURE JAVA icon. The java console will automatically open (you can also go to your APP screen and type in JAVA at search box there). In previous versions of Windows, at the Start Button, in the search type in JAVA and choose the Java Control Panel or Configure Java. It should look like this when open:
Next, select the Security Tab. Then choose Edit Site List (as shown by arrow in image below)
Click the Add Button (see arrow) and add the following 3 entries:
http://www.actrading.com
http://www.java.barchart.com
http://java.barchart.com
Hit Enter on your Keyboard after you type in each site. You will get a Pop Up message asking you if you wish to add exception, reply Yes each time. Then click the OK button at bottom of screen.
After you hit the OK button and window returns, Be sure to click Apply at bottom of screen and then you can close the Java Control Panel (click OK). This set up will NOT work if you skip this step!
You will need to close your browser window completely and then you can reopen your browser and type in http://www.actrading.com You will get a pop up message asking you if you want to run this application (may take about 7 seconds to pop up). Click on Run and app will appear.
You will only have to click Run each time you come to page from this point forward as Java has been programmed for the rest.
